01The Challenge

Strong reputation. Broken funnel.

DFW Microblading had what most operators wish they had — a steady stream of word-of-mouth referrals, a five-year track record of excellent client outcomes, and a recognizable name in the specialty beauty community. What they didn't have was a way to convert online interest into booked appointments at the rate their operational capacity could absorb.

The website had been built years earlier by a generalist designer. The booking flow required four separate steps across two platforms. The mobile experience asked for a deposit before showing service details. Local landing pages didn't exist — every search query funneled to the same homepage regardless of intent. Attribution was nonexistent; the team couldn't tell which traffic source was producing booked revenue versus which was producing tire-kickers.

The team didn't need more traffic. They needed a funnel that could convert the traffic they already had. They came to us looking for someone who could rebuild the conversion layer without rebuilding the entire brand — and without asking them to sit through three discovery calls to scope it.

02The Playbook

Fix the funnel. Then attribute it.

The Blueprint scoped a 90-day rebuild. The Growth Engine continues to optimize against the documented baseline.

  1. I.

    Booking flow audit and redesign.

We mapped the existing booking experience step by step on desktop and mobile. We documented every drop-off point — the deposit-before-info problem, the platform handoff problem, the missing service detail problem. We then rebuilt the flow as a single continuous path with no platform switching.

  2. II.

    Local landing page rebuild.

We built dedicated landing pages for each high-intent service variation and each primary geographic search modifier. Pages were templated for visual consistency but populated with service-specific trust signals — before-and-after galleries, technique-specific explanations, and conversion CTAs scoped to that service.

  3. III.

    Booking platform integration.

We integrated the booking platform with the website properly — single sign-in, no platform redirects, deposit collection only after service selection. The new flow reduced booking abandonment from approximately 60% to under 15%.

  4. IV.

    Attribution model setup.

We installed a documented attribution model tying every booked appointment back to its first-touch and last-touch traffic source. The team could now see whether organic traffic, paid search, social referral, or word-of-mouth was producing the revenue.

  5. V.

    Documented monthly reporting cadence.

Monthly reports tracked booked revenue by source, conversion rate by landing page, and average ticket by service. The reports stayed under three pages and were built to inform next-month decisions rather than impress.

03The Results

Ninety days later. Plain numbers.

$18K$54K
Monthly Booked Revenue

Booked revenue moved from $18,000 to $54,000 monthly within 90 days. The growth came almost entirely from converting existing traffic — total traffic volume increased only 18% during the same period.

60%15%
Booking Abandonment Rate

Booking abandonment dropped from approximately 60% to under 15% after the funnel rebuild. The biggest single win came from removing the deposit-before-info friction on mobile.

4.2x
Booking Conversion Rate

The site's overall traffic-to-booked-appointment conversion rate improved 4.2x. Each landing page now performs against its own commercial-intent baseline rather than diluting into a homepage average.
